| Our Mission |

When Nolan and I first started talking about VMOL, I wondered about how many people worldwide, shared the same passion for vintage and classic motorcycles as we do? Are there hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands, maybe many more? It is an interesting question…I thought it would be a challenge to try and “build a global bridge” and create a friendly place for all these enthusiasts to come together and share their passion with us. From my perspective, this is the primary mission of Vintage Motorcycles Online. It is our passion to ride, talk about, write about, photograph, and share our enthusiasm about vintage American, Japanese, European, and British motorcycles. This keeps us going I am not sure where VMOL will take us in the future, but what I do know is that we will put our hearts and souls into this adventure. If, along the way we meet some new friends, if can sell some advertising and most importantly, HELP other vintage motorcycles enthusiasts, then we will have accomplished something positive. So, welcome to our experiment! Have fun, give us your feedback, pro and con, a most importantly, share your experiences and passion for vintage and classic motorcycles. Ride safe, and I look forward to talking to you in the near future. Sincerely, John J. Cerilli - Co-Founder - VMOL

What exactly is a vintage motorcycle? Webster's denotes year of manufacture as its strongest explanation, so consider that understanding VMOL's official stand as well. Calling this website ‘Antique Motorcycles On-line' would cast a far different light and pigeon-hole what John Cerilli and I are trying to accomplish here. One definition I found offers welcome clarity; "The word vintage comes to us from wineries and includes quality ‘characterized by excellence, maturity, and enduring appeal'. What vintage applies here at VMOL? Roughly, any motorcycle that is no longer new qualifies but considering the average dealership shelf life has ripened to rot after ten-years, that ‘vintage' seems a reasonable cut-off date for the machines we'll cover or feature. John's vision of VMOL as a ‘world-wide bridge' for vintage motorcycle enthusiasts is profound. Our hope is that Vintage Motorcycles Online serves as a melting pot; ‘bridging' owners to the supplies and information they need to enjoy their pastime to the fullest. In time, we hope to have a database available to unite you with exactly what you need or want. Those would include owners with similar interests, parts, services, photography, literature and much, much more. In our infancy, we'll begin with a few brand specific and enthusiast features, plus some free wallpaper photography to download and enjoy. Feel free to contact us for your custom photography needs, road-test reprints or motorcycle appraisal needs. In time, these features will expand according to your wants, needs and desires. Welcome! Consider us At Your Service. Looking forward to hearing from you, Nolan Woodbury - Co-Founder - VMOL
